It's amazing! Every barista here wears a black apron . (5 black aprons while I was here)

There are several problems on that place , I have been going there for 2 years nearly when they opened that place . That was a really good service and bar service last 1 year , however it happened something and they changed close to whole employees on there and also the prices which is not acceptable for Starbucks and customers . I can understand the price difference if I am ordering different kind of Starbucks material but I usually order Ice Coffee.

I called the Starbucks and tell them prices are different with the app and cash but they did not do anything . When you order an Ice Coffee from App you will be pay 3.97 however if you order from cash You will pay close to 6 dollar which is not acceptable and not fair . Also they are not giving free refills .

Another problem they tried to not giving me my online order couple times because of the price difference , I don't know who is the manager but when ever I called to Starbucks they are giving me sorry gift cards (20$) and They are telling me they will solve that problem but they did not do anything yet !

I came here during the Canada 150 July weekend and camped out here for a few days while my husband was working for the Canada 150 celebrations. I had the opportunity to try their reserve coffees and they are amazing! Definitely better than their regular blends. I also had the experience of having my coffee brewed with the siphon method... definitely an eye opener :) I also had their affogato... YUM! I really liked the vanilla bean ice-cream and i wished there was a reserve bar in Toronto! hopefully that will come soon.

They also serve their nitro brew in these nice plastic reserve cups - I asked for an extra set to keep as a souvenir!

I also like that they have mixed drinks with alcohol available at this location. Lots of seating, free wifi, and I was able to hang out here for a few hours at a time no problem - the place is busy though :)

I"m coming back to Ottawa in a few weeks and I am definitely going to come by this place again!

I visited Ottawa for a weekend for the Escapade Music Festival, and luckily I had the chance to visit Byward Market! It's such a good location to place the Starbucks Reserve Bar here. I really wanted to try the affogato here because it looked sooo good but sadly, I didn't have the chance to. I just ended up getting a peach citrus white tea lemonade? Which is always good refresher for a hot summery day.

My review is based on the customer service here, which was fantastic. The baristas are all very nice, and for some reason they can tell when you're not from around here. They'll make friendly conversations with you that just makes me want to come back and visit Ottawa again! The store's layout is a skinny rectangle and the seating is mainly all at the front of the store. You order at the back of the coffee shop. There are some cute coffee displays that show you different coffee beans and brewing machines. I absolutely love the ambience here.

Full disclosure: Starbucks is, without a doubt, my favorite all round place to get coffee.  *Love* their flat white.  So, with that bias in mind, ;-) here's my review:

I rarely hand out a 5 star, however today I am:

This store, discreetly placed on York street, fits in well to the market, despite it being a big chain.  So kudos to the design team on that.

We walked in and got a sincere and friendly greeting.  The store is quite large and split level.  We really weren't sure where to order, so we wandered to the back to see the whole place.   The general layout is regular stuff at the back and boutique coffee at the front.  We ordered at the back and the order was sent down to the front.   We had no clue what we wanted to order so we asked the cashier about the boutique coffees.  She was a wealth of information and clearly knew about the products.  Kudos now go to Management and Training people.  Great experience so far.

We found a table and sat down - where we found a menu.  So now I understand that if I'm doing the boutique side, I don't have to order up top, and I can order at the table.  Cool!   Even cooler - no one batted an eye when we ordered up top.  They've got their processes all worked out and it's a great customer experience.

The decor is fantastic.  Dark restful colours that work.  There is a nod to Ottawa with some old leather skates artfully displayed on a shelf.   With a friend? Grab a table.  By yourself, or want to people watch - grab a seat by the window ledge and watch the world go by.  Want to be away from everything, head to the back corner.

We tried a siphon coffee.  Watching it made was interesting - and beautiful, with the bubbling water picking up the colour from the heating device below.  Wow!

This store carries "Reserve" coffees that may be one-time offerings or small batch offerings.  If you are a coffee devotee this is quite possibly a must do destination.  I say 'devotee' because it's not cheap.   We had a siphon coffee.  The flavour was beautiful - and the price was dear.  Not a place I'll go everyday, or even every weekend.  But I could see showing up here once every month or so.

    Would I recommend:  Yes
    Woudl I return:  Yes
